SCSC Annual Rum Party

It's that time again, time to head to the Islands without leaving the St. Croix.  After Friday's Beercan, everyone's invited to the Point at the south end of the St. Croix Marina in Hudson to watch Bill the "Blender Man" whip up frothy concoctions with recipe's from the Caribbean Isles, some with alcohol, some without.

There will be music -  Reggae, Buffet, Morley, maybe some Beach Boys and food provided by Hey Jude

This event is open to the whole club, not just racers.  Admission is free, just bring a bottle of your favorite Rum to help stock the bar.

Will you host next Beercan?

There are still many opportunities to host a Beercan, check the calendar, if there isn't a host listed, it's available.  The club will reserve the point and provide $150 toward food & beverages.  Contact any board member if you would like to be involved.

Shrimp Boil after Carlson Classic

Please come to the Shrimp Boil Saturday July 26 after the Carlson Classic.

It will be at the club house and is usually around 4-5.  There will be Shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes and beer & pop.  The cost is $20 dollars for adults and $8.00 for kids.  Please bring a salad or dessert to pass. Sign up by July 17.

We always need help so if you like to help call Jessica or Rich Wilder @ 612-718-6733, 612-282-4218 or jwilder@SALAarc.com.

Regatta Meet & Greet

We will have a "Meet & Greet" at the marina clubhouse in Hudson at 6:30, Friday August 29.  This will be a good time to register for the regatta, talk to some of the completion and get psyched for the racing.

Bulletin Board Moved

We have moved our Bulletin Board from the south end of the marina to just inside the gate at the marina.  It is now attached to the back side of the fence, near the SCSC storage shed.  With the gate and access code, visiting the bulletin board became a problem for some of our members, this way you can park outside the marina, walk through the gate and around the fence to see results, special notices, etc.  We hope this is convenient for all members.
